Hot Shitis an uplifting hip-hop song infused with Chinese musical elements, centering around aspirations for the future and self-admonition. The song begins with a melody with a Chinese flavor, expressing anticipation and concerns about the future. It reflects the hope of one day making it to the charts but also the fear of becoming the “lone wolf” on the journey towards pursuing dreams. The verse takes the form of a letter to the future self, documenting warnings and reminders, such as the line "Demonstrating filial piety to parents instead of just keeping gratitude in your heart." It also questions whether the future self has achieved certain goals, like "Have you released albums, earned big money, do you have a car and a house?" As the first single of 2024, "Hot Shit" is a fitting expression of new year resolutions, constantly reminding oneself to stay focused and grateful.
